One of the simplest solutions to government waste would be to make any politician authorizing a spending program to put some of their own money in the program alongside taxpayers. If it’s good enough to spend our money, it should be good enough to spend theirs too.

Now that people know where their tax money is going, I would expect a lot more pressure on politicians to cut the tax rates.
